560 Pacific Street has been reimagined to meet a high contemporary office standard; the building is located in one of the most historic blocks of Jackson Square. Each floor offers approximately 11,000 square feet of space, plus a beautiful mezzanine level. This neighborhood is one of the global hotspots for AI innovation.

During the Gold Rush Era, this block was the heart of the Barbary Coast. The building, constructed in 1910, originally operated as a dancehall and pleasure house. With the arrival of Prohibition, bootleggers moved liquor through a network of hidden tunnels connecting nearby speakeasies—including one that ran directly into the basement of 560 Pacific Street.

The property also housed the original Hippodrome Theater, whose history can be further explored in the Historic Records section of our website. By 1946, the property had transformed again, reopening as the Monaco Theater Restaurant, a celebrated supper club. During that era, the block was nicknamed “Terrific Street”. The street was also dubbed the “International Settlement” for a time, referring to the multitude of modern art galleries, jazz clubs, and Beat establishments.
